Davenport Screw Machine and Multi-Spindle Machining Services

When you need parts made right, you need a shop that understands both Davenport screw machines and the manufacturing process. At Buell Automatics, we’ve been helping companies solve production challenges since 1966. Here’s why manufacturers keep coming back to us for their screw machining needs.

Our Davenport Screw Machines

Our Davenport multi-spindle screw machining shop is equipped with 36 Davenport machines online for production and 12 additional machines ready for deployment when needed. These vintage workhorses—built in the 1930s—have been meticulously maintained and upgraded to deliver precision performance. To ensure optimal production, our team has integrated these machines with modern computer monitoring systems to track cycle times, tool wear, and other proprietary production data.

These machines are perfect for high-volume machining and close-tolerance screw machined parts. We have:

  • Nearly every size collet for any material (round, hex, or square)
  • Attachments for threading, recessing, tapping, reaming, roller burnishing, knurling, cross-drilling, milling, and flat generating
  • OD and ID threading capabilities on all machines

Advantages of Davenport Screw Machine

There are several advantages to using multi-spindle screw machining over other manufacturing processes, making it a suitable choice for various applications. Multi-spindle screw machining is capable of high consistency, detail, and efficiency. Additionally, multi-spindle machining offers the benefits of high-volume component orders and can handle larger orders.
